Registration is ongoing throughout the year. Tuition is billed every six weeks. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card. CMSLV accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express.

The regular fall session begins on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. However, you can begin EARLY. Jumpstart your fall by taking ADDITIONAL lessons on August 29, 30, and or 31. For these THREE DAYS, any regular priced lesson is discounted 10%. Call 610.435.7725 to schedule your lessons. We recommend you schedule your fall lessons beginning in early August to ensure you receive the time and day that meets with your busy schedule.
 
REGISTRATION and TUITION POLICY

New Students: If you wish to arrange an interview lesson you may do so; the price of the interview is $30.00 for one 30-minute lesson paid prior to the lesson.
Going forward: your annual registration fee and payment is due BEFORE any instruction begins. Tuition is billed every six weeks. You may make arrangements with the Office Manager to have your payments automatically generated every six weeks.

FAMILY DISCOUNTS

Multi-family members taking lessons: If more than one member of the family enrolls for music lessons the first member will pay the full tuition. Additional family members taking lessons will receive a 5% discount. Students studying more than one discipline, during the same session, will also receive a 5% discount. NO discount will be generated for those with financial aid or scholarship assistance or if receiving any other discount program.

If an immediate family member is employed by Lehigh Valley Health Network or is a member of JCC Perks Club, CMS offers a 10% discount. No additional discount, financial aid, or scholarship assistance will be awarded if you are part of these plans. Please show ID in order to receive the discount.

Financial Aid and Scholarship Assistance is available for those who qualify. Please schedule an appointment with the Office Manager to review the necessary paperwork. To apply, student must complete the Questionnaire and submit the required documentation. Each year begins anew. That means each year, new paperwork must be filed, reviewed by CMS, and authorized by the school Director in order to quality for assistance.

 
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial Assistance and Scholarship Aid is available for those who qualify. Please schedule an appointment with the Business Manager to review the necessary paperwork. To apply, students must complete the Questionnaire and submit the required documentation.
 
PAYMENT
CMS accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express. A fee of $ 35.00 will AUTOMATICALLY BE CHARGED FOR RETURNED CHECKS.
 
DISCONTINUED LESSONS

If a student discontinues lessons within the first four (4) weeks of lessons, he/she will receive a 50% reimbursement on the balance. For lessons discontinued after the first four weeks, there is NO tuition refund. The balance will be available until the end of the school term in June.

There are NO scheduled cancellations; if you miss a lesson you will be charged for that lesson. However, in the event of an extended illness or other longer-term related absence, a leave of absence (LOA) may usually be arranged through the Director of the School.

Additional charges will be incurred for books, music and or copies of music.

OPTIONAL HOLIDAYS
CMS will continue lessons. For those observing a holiday, there will be no charge for missed lessons on those days. Please notify the CMS Administration and your teacher of your absence in advance of the holiday.

Passover: Sundown April 6
 
SCHOOL CLOSING INFORMATION

RECITAL AND ACCOMPANIST INFORMATION

CMS offers numerous opportunities for performance during the year. Please note these guidelines when using CMS accompanists. Piano accompaniment for instrumental and vocal students is available for CMS recitals. There are two separate rates. We strongly recommend that students use one of our professional accompanists who will prepare the student for performance, while teaching the student how to work with other musicians. We request music be submitted to the accompanist at least two weeks prior to the recital date. Students should also be prepared to work with the accompanist two weeks prior to the recital.

The cost for accompaniment:
Elementary Level: $ 18.00
Intermediate and Advanced Level: $ 35.00
This includes one rehearsal. Most elementary sessions will be as close to the actual recital as possible.

In the event there is additional rehearsal time required, please follow this simple procedure. Share the information with the school administration to ensure the time and place of the rehearsal has been appropriately scheduled. Note your regular lesson fee will apply. Make certain the accompanist is available. Any student who has auditioned and been selected to perform in the GALA Recital will receive FREE accompaniment for the recital..

CMS requests each student is appropriately attired for a recital. If in doubt, please ask what is acceptable. CMS also requests all cell phones be turned off during each recital.
