CMS encourages you to participate in various forms of music instruction
during the summer. There are several classes from which to choose. CMS
offers continuing private and semi-private instruction for most every
instrument and voice. In addition, several of the Group Programs, including
S.T.E.P. Suzuki Strings and Jumpstart continue year-round. As well, all
of the Creative Arts Therapy sessions are available. Plus, CMS is offering
an opportunity to introduce youngsters to a super party or play-date
opportunity. Be the first among your friends to enjoy a ‘House
Call” by Dr. Sharon and her violin!

In the event a cancellation is required, we ask you to notify CMS 48-hours

and jazz professional, Dr. David Saturen, in our State-of-the-Art
Presser Piano Lab. Improvisation in traditional jazz styles. We welcome
students of piano and students who play OTHER INSTRUMENTS. Minimum
enrollment of five students. It’s June and there’s
plenty of jazz. |

You too can become a member of the CMS Flute
Choir. You will experience the joy of performing music with others.
The music studied will include everything from Bach to the Blues.
Learn leadership skills through the rotation of parts during this
summer flute camp.
PERFORMANCE, FRIDAY, JULY 11 AT 12:00: The very last day our CMS
Flute Choir performs for family and friends! This is truly a wonderful
way to spend a week in the summer, meet new friends, learn to play
music, AND, experience the opportunity to perform. CMS does require
a minimum enrollment of six to begin the class.

Discover the beauty of the genre while developing ensemble and

each 45-minutes in length prior to the actual performance program

Under the direction of Sharon Olsher YOU learn new music, enjoy
performing in a string orchestra; become part of a team of fellow
string players, push yourself to new heights, and feel the pride
of achievement in orchestral performance. This intensive five-day
session is for those students who have a passion
for performance.

The journey begins as we invite you to observe both a
group class and a private lesson while you await the delivery
of your child’s violin that has been measured specifically
for him/her. Enjoy the opportunity to speak with our educators
prior to any lesson. Gain insight into their wealth of
experience. It is a journey worth taking. The CMS S.T.E.P.
program will open a world of new experiences to both you
and your youngster.
Once lessons begin you will explore, create and understand music
through developmentally appropriate and repetitive activities;
all the while creating a musically stimulating environment. The
bond between parent and child strengthens and grows.
Our S.T.E.P. Program involves weekly private or semi-private lessons
and weekly group sessions. |

| For new S.T.E.P. enrollment: Parents of
students enrolling in the Program will be required to attend one
Parent Orientation Class in order to familiarize parents with the
method of teaching, the supporting philosophy, and gain insight into
how you (the parent or caregiver) fits into the ‘triangle.’ A
must attend two-hour class. There is a modest cost for the program
and materials you will use throughout your child’s musical

levels of students; each student learns from the other. A great
preparation for the next level of music study. |
