Ages: 3+
Time & Date: Group Sessions are offered on
Wednesday: 5:00 – 5:45 pm
A minimum of six youngsters are required for any group to begin. Private and or semi-private instruction is offered daily (each student taking lessons one time each week) plus one weekly group instruction.
Instructors: Sharon Olsher, Mary Ann Saylor, Raymond Taylor
Philosophical Foundation: “Every student has ability, every student is a worthy person, and through the study of music, every student can attain greatness as a human being.”

The journey begins as we invite you to observe both a group class and a private lesson while you await the delivery of your child’s violin that has been measured specifically for him/her. Enjoy the opportunity to speak with our educators prior to any lesson. Gain insight into their wealth of experience. It is a journey worth taking. The CMS S.T.E.P. program will open a world of new experiences to both you and your youngster.

Once lessons begin you will explore, create and understand music through developmentally appropriate and repetitive activities; all the while creating a musically stimulating environment. The bond between parent and child strengthens and grows.

Our S.T.E.P. Program involves weekly private or semi-private lessons and weekly group sessions.

Parent Class
For new S.T.E.P. enrollment: Parents of students enrolling in the Program will be required to attend one Parent Orientation Class in order to familiarize parents with the method of teaching, the supporting philosophy, and gain insight into how you (the parent or caregiver) fits into the ‘triangle.’ A must attend two-hour class. There is a modest cost for the program and materials you will use throughout your child’s musical adventure. Call for details at 610.435.7725 or e-mail offmgr@cmslv.org
Instruction includes semi-private (2 – 4 students) with one teacher; private instruction (1 student) with one teacher. Group instruction includes a minimum of six students and a maximum of twelve students to one teacher.
Lessons include
Beginners/Pre-Twinkle
Book I
Book II – IV
Book V – X

Students will grow through the program. As youngsters advance, longer length sessions may be recommended in order to continue their musical journey. Prices quoted reflect 9-weeks of instruction.
