CMS
adds to the community by enhancing and enriching the lives of those it
touches, while growing future productive young adults. |

Many
recitals are held annually, with each of our students requested to perform
in at least one of them. Church functions, club meetings, organization
luncheons, assisted living communities/retirement centers plus our own
CMS recitals, highlight the outstanding talents of our students while
contributing to the artistic life of the community. Additionally, our
teachers are each accomplished in their own right and most perform together
and with other groups. For example, some of our teachers are members
of the
Allentown Symphony Orchestra. |

While
a benefit to the community, youngsters also reap the advantages of music
study (requires discipline that is often self-rewarding). They have the
opportunity of music study that they might not have had if it wasn't
for
our financial aid program. What talent might not have been recognized
had it not been for this program. |

| Special
needs' children and adults are provided opportunities through music therapy
programs in-house and through outreach programs. Various locations throughout
the Lehigh Valley are centers for our music therapy programs. Mercy Special
Learning Center, Boy's and Girl's Club of Allentown, The Girl's Club of
Allentown, Daybreak and CitySpace are all partners with CMS. All of these
programs deal with youth, economically disadvantaged, some senior citizens,
the handicapped and other special community members. |
